Job Purpose:- The Retail Sales Associate 3 at GOLD BEACH LUMBER YARD INC is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product inquiries, and facilitating sales transactions. This role is pivotal in ensuring a positive shopping experience, maintaining store standards, and contributing to the overall success of the retail team.Key Responsibilities:- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their needs and inquiries effectively.- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the products and services offered by GOLD BEACH LUMBER YARD INC to provide informed recommendations to customers.- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.- Ensure the sales floor is organized, clean, and visually appealing by restocking shelves and arranging displays as needed.- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to a positive team environment.- Handle customer complaints or concerns with patience and professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.- Participate in inventory management activities, including stock counts and receiving shipments.- Stay informed about industry trends and new products to better serve customers and enhance sales techniques.- Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.- Assist in training and mentoring new staff members to foster a supportive and knowledgeable team.Required Education:- High school diploma or equivalent.Required Experience:- Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail sales, preferably in a lumber or hardware environment.- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and delivering excellent customer service.Required Skills and Abilities:- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with customers and team members.- Knowledge of lumber products and building materials is highly desirable.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.- Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally.- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
