Histologist 1

IQVIA seeks a Histologist 1 to perform tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining in their Valencia, CA laboratory. The role supports pathological analysis and requires collaboration with pathologists while maintaining regulatory compliance and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tissue processing, paraffin embedding, sectioning, and staining activities
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot histology laboratory equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation per SOPs, GDPs, and regulatory guidelines
• Support process improvements and SOP updates to enhance quality and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and CLIA/CAP requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years histopathology laboratory experience
• ASCP qualification or equivalent plus 1 year clinical/research/commercial laboratory experience
• Knowledge of histology techniques, staining methods, and specialized laboratory equipment
• Understanding of CLIA and CAP regulatory requirements
• Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and resolve process issues
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Compensation: $46,200-$96,200 base
