Pharmacy Technician

Job TitleMajor duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:Prescription management: Performing prescription order entry, followed by verification by a pharmacist.Monitoring and reviewing: Conducting laboratory value monitoring, poly-pharmacy reviews, drug utilization evaluations, and pharmacoeconomic reviews to ensure safe and effective medication use.Patient support: Providing telephone logistical support and facilitating communication regarding prescriptions.Medication reconciliation: Assisting in reconciling medications under pharmacist oversight.Provider coordination: Contacting non-VA providers, medical facilities, and the Care in the Community Office to ensure accurate adjudication and processing of prescriptions received from non-VA clinics or providers.Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pmTelework: Not AvailableVirtual: This is not a virtual position.Functional Statement #: 00000Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not AuthorizedPermanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized
