Key Responsibilities of the RN - CVICU - Travel

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the CVICU.
• Monitor and manage drips such as Cardizem, Cordarone, and Nitroglycerin.
• Care for patients post open-heart surgery and manage temporary pacemakers.
• Utilize critical care skills such as CRRT and ventilator management.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips regularly.
• Float primarily to ACU and ICU, with potential floating to Med-Surg & Tele.

Requirements of the RN - CVICU - Travel

• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
• Experience with post-operative open-heart patients and ventricular devices.
• Proficient in hypothermia protocols and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Experienced with arterial lines and titration of medications.
• Competency with acute MI care, including pre/post catheterization.
