This contract, full-time opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week and is located in the vibrant community near Orland, CA. The position is ideal for educators who are passionate about helping students succeed and enjoy working collaboratively as part of an educational team. Direct hire fee will be facilitated for the right candidate.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid teaching credential authorizing service as a Special Education Teacher for mild/moderate disabilities
• Prior experience working in school settings, especially within SDC environments
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and accommodations/adaptations for diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction to students in a self-contained, mild/moderate SDC classroom setting
• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans and accommodations based on students’ IEPs
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to support learning and behavioral goals
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
• Foster a supportive and structured classroom environment that addresses both academic and social/emotional growth
• Maintain accurate and confidential student documentation and progress reports
