Salary Range: $48,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Coopersville seeking Quality Inspectors who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products for conformance to specifications.
• Document inspection results, including any non-conformances, and maintain accurate quality records.
• Utilize various measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to perform precise measurements.
• Identify and tag non-conforming materials and products, initiating the appropriate corrective action process.
• Collaborate with production personnel to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Perform visual inspections to detect surface defects, assembly errors, and other cosmetic flaws.
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to quality deviations.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Familiarity with various inspection tools and metrology equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles
• Ability to perform detailed visual inspections and identify defects

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification.
• Experience with various measurement tools beyond basice.g., CMM, optical comparators, profilometers.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
• Ability to interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency with statistical process control (SPC) software.
