FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH KARNES CITY

The Pastor Search Committee of First Baptist Church of Karnes City, Texas has spent the last two months in prayer and consultation with our congregation, seeking a picture of the of the man God is calling as our Pastor. God has revealed that this man will be a strong expositor of God's Word. His preaching will convey the authority of the inerrant Word and sound Baptist theology. The congregation will be encouraged and transformed by God's messages. While personal prayer and study will be a significant part of this man's life, we seek a man who will lead the church's prayer ministry. While we are not seeking a Chaplin, our congregation expects a Shepheard-Pastor who cares for the sick and injured members of the flock when hospitalization is necessary. Our next pastor is a man between the ages of 30 and 50 with some seminary education and 2-3 years church ministry experience. He relates well to all age groups of people. He will find a staff and leadership group who are wise and willing to help, counsel and assist him in his ministry here. He will understand that he is not the pastor for the whole community but will seek to learn about the city and will lead us in reaching our city. He will find a strong group of churches willing to work together. If he has a family he will, model for the church the biblical foundations of God first, family second and church third. He is a man who lives by the code to be a better Christian at home than he is at church. Southcentral Baptist Area Missions Director offices at First Baptist Church and our pastor will need to be understanding of Baptist Associational work.
