Your Opportunity

Stantec isseekinga highly motivated, ambitious,TrafficEngineer(PE). The position will offer the opportunity to work on small and large high-profile Transportation projects.You will perform a variety of tasks that will require the application of sound principles and best practices.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Projects include traffic signal system design and re-timing, operational analysis, roadway capacity analysis, traffic safety studies, traffic signal, signing, and pavement marking and design, street lighting/illumination design, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS), MOT compliance and monitoring.
• Prepare construction documents and cost estimatesforCity, County andStateroadwayandhighwayprojects.
• Perform complex engineering design tasks per Department of Transportation’s (DOT’s) design standards.
• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate the technical aspects of assigned projects.
• Train developing staff on designand operationalanalysissoftware packages fortraffic engineering projects.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Proficiencyin OpenRoads Designer, SignCAD, and AGI-32.
• ProjectWise experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite, includingwriting technical reports and memos using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong knowledge of thedesign/planning procedures, and PS&E plan production.
• Experience must include traffic operations and safety; highway capacity analysis; traffic operational analysis; Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD); designing and implementing traffic signal system timings; and preparing PS&E plans.
• Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgement, creativity, and innovation.
• Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies Ability toparticipateand collaborate in project team setting, and effectively communicate ideas, designissuesand solutions to others.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) minimum.
• PE licenseor ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum of 5 yearstraffic engineeringprojectexperience.

Pay Transparency

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
