PEP BOYS / Mavis Tire - Automotive MechanicsCompetitive Weekly Pay + Weekly Incentive Compensation | Full-Time | Career Growth OpportunitiesPep Boys is now part of the Mavis Tire family-and we're growing our team!We're looking for experienced, full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at our automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Berlin, NJ area.As part of the Mavis family, you'll have the stability of joining the nation's largest automotive service organization, with more than 4,000 locations, competitive weekly pay, excellent benefits, and opportunities to grow your career.About the PositionAs an Automotive Mechanic, you'll inspect, diagnose, and perform a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services to help keep our customers safely on the road.Responsibilities include:Performing undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steeringDiagnosing vehicle maintenance and repair needsPerforming oil and filter changes and checking fluidsReplacing worn or damaged partsCompleting state inspections, where applicableMounting, rotating, and balancing tiresMaintaining Mavis standards for quality, safety, and customer serviceWhy Join Team Mavis?We offer our Automotive Mechanics:Competitive weekly pay + weekly incentive compensationMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchPaid vacation, PTO, and holidaysLife insuranceOn-the-job trainingOpportunities for career growth and advancementA stable, team-oriented work environmentQualificationsTo be eligible, you must:Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United StatesHave at least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceHave the personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairsPreferred: State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications, including Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).Physical RequirementsAutomotive Mechanics must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with automotive repair.
