General Production Worker

The General Production Worker supports the production and packaging of plastic bowls in a manufacturing environment. This role involves inspecting products, operating basic equipment, recording production information, and packing finished goods while following quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Record production information, including quantities produced and quality checks completed.
• Remove excess plastic material from products as needed.
• Assist with production and packaging activities on a semi-automated manufacturing line.
• Package plastic bowls according to company procedures.
• Pack finished products into boxes following work instructions and customer requirements.
• Operate touch screen equipment to monitor production and identify machine alerts.
• Clear minor machine jams and assist with basic troubleshooting when needed.
• Use measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers, to perform quality checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and cleanroom procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use touch screen equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and production tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in production, assembly, packaging, or warehouse work.
• Experience working in a cleanroom or quality-focused environment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to work around machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and rotating schedules.

Work Environment

Employees operate production equipment, perform quality inspections, and package finished goods. Various shift schedules are available, including day, evening, and rotating shifts. The role requires standing, moving throughout the work area, and following established safety and quality procedures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Imperial, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
