Responsible for the receipt, preparation, utilization, and administration of radioactive materials as determined by state and federal laws and department guidelines. Reviews and verifies that the QA performed in unit doses received from outside vendors and equipment meets department and state guidelines. Responsibilities: • Performs both diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures. • Responsible for the receipt, preparation, utilization, and administration of radioactive materials. • Reviews and verifies that the QA performed meets department and state guidelines. • Performs procedures on selected anatomy as requested by the clinician on patients in the following age groups: adolescence 12-19 years, adults 20-65 years and geriatric adults 65 and older. • Performs a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply the proper scan protocols needed to visualize the anatomy in question. Credentials and Qualifications: • High School /GED • Florida state license required - Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) • ARRT(N) OR CNMT through NMTCB certification or equivalent required. • Current BLS required. Preferred: • Associate degree • One (1) year Nuclear Med Technologist experienceSalary Range$48.75 - $48.75Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role.
