Video Editor

Overview WEAR is seeking an experienced, detail oriented, and creative Full-time Video Editor to join our team. Responsibilities Edit video for daily news coverage, special projects, and sweep period stories Ingest news feeds from bureaus and various news organizations Collaborate with anchors, reporters, and producers to create compelling visual elements for newscasts Meet daily deadlines in a fast paced, high energy newsroom environment Preferred Qualifications Experience editing video in a professional newsroom, production environment, or related field Proficiency with non linear editing systems and newsroom technology Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork skills Knowledge of broadcast news operations is a plus Requirements College degree or a minimum of one (1) year of related experience Knowledge of Final Cut Pro and Avid NewsCutter XP editing technology is a strong plus Ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities while maintaining a professional work environment Sinclair is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.
