Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Regional Radiology Manager is responsible for the imaging services of the Radiology department within a specific region of the Marshfield Clinic system.  Areas that may be included in these responsibilities are CT, MRI, Interventional, Ultrasound, General, Mammography, Dexa, Nuclear Medicine/PET and any support staff within these areas.  Administratively, this position reports to the Core Line Administrator of Imaging Services and is responsible for overall staffing requirements, workflow, patient and staff satisfaction, capital planning, operational budgeting, equipment maintenance, and physician needs.  The Regional Radiology Manager collaborates with the System Radiology members to discuss regional needs, processes, standards to improve and standardized process to better serve the organization’s patients.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Formal education including graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, Sonography, Nuclear Medicine, or a Bachelor’s degree in business or a health-related field.

EXPERIENCE 

Minimum Required: Two years management experience within a multi-specialty radiology department.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.  Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire, and one of the following certifications:

• ARRT certification provided by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• NMTCB certification provided by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
• ARDMS certification provided by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, Inc.
