This 500-bed regional medical center serves as a Level II trauma facility in East Texas, functioning as a high-volume surgical hub with a broad mix of adult and pediatric specialties. The hospital is equipped with modern operating rooms featuring EPIC EMR, advanced anesthesia machines, and video laryngoscopy tools, supported by a large anesthesia team. Comprehensive services including trauma, neurosurgery, orthopedics, vascular, and pediatrics position this facility as a key referral center for the region.

Tyler, Texas offers a range of attractions including the Caldwell Zoo, the Tyler Rose Garden and Center, and Kiepersol Estates Winery. The area features specialty museums, department stores, and outdoor trails such as the Azalea Trails located south of downtown. The pediatric anesthesiologist will provide comprehensive anesthesia services during day shifts of 8 to 12 hours, working in a medical direction model alongside experienced CRNAs. The clinician will manage pediatric-focused cases, including occasional NICU and PICU coverage for complex neonatal cases, utilizing EPIC EMR for all patient documentation. Weekend beeper call coverage is required on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Board certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology is required for this on-site assignment. The cases range from pediatric ENT, GI, ophthalmology, urology, and imaging sedation to full-scope adult surgery including trauma, ortho, neuro, vascular, and robotics with no cardiac or transplant cases.
