Radiology - Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00-17:00 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 1 year minimum License: State licensure required based on modality Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is required to perform independently at pediatric facilities One of the following certifications is preferred: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) Radiography (R) Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) Abdomen (AB) RDMS Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) RDMS Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Must-Have: Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology, an associate degree in a healthcare-related field, or an acceptable equivalent required 0-1 year of experience in an acute care setting preferred Description:The Catheterization Laboratory Technologist I plays a critical role in supporting cardiac catheterization procedures.This role involves preparing the lab and operating essential equipment, including fluoroimaging and digital image acquisition.It is essential to ensure accurate documentation of patient information and hemodynamic measurements.The technologist must maintain stringent aseptic technique and patient safety standards.This position actively collaborates with the medical team to optimize patient care and departmental efficiency.The technologist serves as the radiation safety representative during X-ray usage and continually develops proficiency in specialized cath lab technologies. Key responsibilities include:Meeting expectations of the applicable competencies, including leadership.Promoting organizational principles of healthcare.Ensuring major equipment is operational in assigned areas and documenting as required for quality control.Reporting any issues through the chain of command and per hospital process.Participating in daily room checks and stocking of supplies.Accessing daily patient schedules and appropriate patient information for assigned procedures.Ensuring appropriate equipment, supplies, and room configuration for all procedures.Collaborating with procedure teams to ensure appropriate patient care and departmental efficiency.Ensuring proper patient information is entered into cath lab computer and imaging systems.Ensuring proper procedure documentation, hemodynamic measurements/recording, and ECG recognition during assigned procedures.Ensuring the patient position is appropriate and safely secured on the procedure table.Training to set up and operate cath lab equipment, including imaging systems.Supporting and anticipating the needs of the physician and ensuring patient safety during procedures.Adhering to aseptic technique 100% of the time during procedures.Adhering to organizational policies related to patient safety, privacy, infection control, and communication.Collaborating with team members to share knowledge and promote teamwork.Engaging in patient transport as appropriate.Acting as radiation safety representative for patients and team during X-ray.Performing fluoroimaging and digital image acquisition as appropriate.Adhering to attendance policies and departmental productivity standards.Supporting the commitment to safety and customer service.Following departmental dress code.Understanding and upholding the organization's mission, vision, and purpose.Promoting unit-based councils and process improvement projects.Serving with respect to the organization's core values. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
