Job Description
RN - Emergency Department

Schedule

Shifts include days, nights, and weekends with a weekend requirement of at least every other weekend.

Assignment Details

Contract length is 13 weeks with guaranteed hours of 3 shifts per week. Floating may be required to partner facilities or between departments.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year RN experience required
• Trauma Level IV experience required
• Epic (electronic charting) experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Clinical skills include general ED care for adults and pediatrics, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line care, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator patient care, isolation precautions/PPE

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the emergency department for a diverse patient population, including infants through geriatrics
• Conduct patient evaluations and triage incoming patients
• Manage critical situations and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Administer medications and treatments per hospital protocols
• Monitor and document patient progress in electronic health records
• Ensure adherence to safety and health regulations

Compliance / Notes

Parking details will be provided. Compliance documents are due two Fridays prior to the start date. Mandatory pre-start modules require 10-15 hours of completion, due one week before the start. Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing. No block scheduling or on-call requirements are expected.
