Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

You’ll work full-time on-site over the course of the 2026-2027 school year, closely collaborating with school personnel and families to deliver specialized instruction and accommodations.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience working in school settings preferred
• Understanding of adaptive technology and resources for students with visual impairments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching methods for accessibility

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students with visual impairments based on individualized education plans
• Assess students' functional vision and learning needs
• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and family members to support student goals
• Develop and modify lesson plans and teaching strategies to ensure accessibility of materials
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Serve as a resource for staff on strategies, tools, and modifications to support visually impaired learners
