What You'll Do

• Do lesson plans and facilitate learning with children 16 month - 2 years old.
• Ability to effectively communicate with parents and community members.
• Be able to work with parents and community members to solve problems that arise at school.
• Be able to move quickly, adapt to changing situations, and multi-task.
• Have a strong understanding of standard toddler age teaching methods and be able to effectively implement these methods in the classroom.
• Be able to keep a neat and organized classroom.\
• Understand safe diapering procedures and be able to do so quickly and efficiently.
• Have an understanding of child development milestones and how to effectively guide children as they achieve them.

Requirements

• 24 hours or more of child development training, and 6 months experience caring for children.
• TB Test
• Background Check
• Documentation of citizenship
• Physical ability to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations
• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Hold CDA, career certificate, or associate's degree or higher
• Current First Aid/CPR Certification
• Current Medication Administration Training (MAT)
