Donor Room Apheresis Technician page is loaded## Donor Room Apheresis Technicianlocations: EVH Evanston Hospitaltime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R40821**Hourly Pay Range:**$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.**Position Highlights:*** Position: Donor Room Apheresis Technician* Location: Evanston Hospital* Full Time/Part Time: Full Time* Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 4pm, e/o weekend and rotating holidays* Required Travel: Yes, float.**What you will do:*** Collect autologous and directed whole blood donations and apheresis platelet donations. Perform therapeutic phlebotomies and peripheral stem cell collections. Recruit apheresis donors, homologous whole blood donors, and neonatal plasma donors. Serve as a resource person for junior staff members. Responsible for performing procedures consistent with or based on the age and developmental status of the patient to maximize the clinical outcome and safety of the patient.* Adhere to blood bank quality control procedures, document all QC activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed. Utilize internal and external variance forms to document policy or procedure deviations and corresponding corrective actions.
