We also support aftermarket upgrades with certified modification kits and digital cabin signage to improve the passenger experience.Be part of our talented team and start soaring to new heights!JOB SUMMARYThe Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and documentation of electrical systems for aircraft interiors, including wiring layouts, grounding and bonding calculations, and certification support documentation. Creates, reviews, and checks 2D electrical drawings for systems, components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely release. Works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to support design solutions, resolve technical issues, and maintain project schedules. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail, effective problem-solving skills, and a commitment to completing work on time while supporting the company’s core values.SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIESReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Apply basic aircraft wiring designs and practices while designing aircraft interior wiring systems Use specifications, customer specifications and engineering drawings while designing aircraft interior wiring systems Produce accurate drawings such as wiring diagrams, wire harnesses, electrical installations and meet drawing release dates Write test plans, reports and analysis such as electrical load analysis, electromagnetic interference test plans and reports and passenger address system substantiations Check drawings and prepare engineering change notices (ECNs) as required to support manufacturing Develop quality designs, evaluating cost, safety, and manufacturing, within the time constraints of a project Prepare drawings, reports and other engineering data required for production, testing and qualification of designed equipment Act as shop liaison during initial production units to solve engineering problems encountered in production and support production personal with manufacturing electrical design Understand and apply aerospace/OEM standard practices in engineering drawings Examine suppliers lead times, cost, and availability for electrical components and parts Apply knowledge of the basic understand of airworthiness requirements for passenger aircraft interiors Apply knowledge of basics understanding of electrical engineering, especially power systemsGENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and ExperienceEducation:High school diploma required.Bachelor’s degree required.Master’s degree preferred.Experience:Minimum of 1–3 years of direct experience.Skills:Strong technical writing and documentation skillsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and specificationsProficiency in electrical design concepts and aircraft wiring practicesStrong attention to detail and accuracyEffective communication and collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesProblem-solving skills with a practical, production-focused approachPreferred Skills/Experience:Experience with aircraft interior electrical systemsExperience supporting manufacturing and production teamsFamiliarity with aerospace/OEM standards and certification requirementsExperience preparing ECNs, test plans, and engineering substantiation documentsKnowledge of grounding, bonding, and electrical load analysisOther: Extended or irregular hours may be required.
