Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)Springfield, Oregon

We are a pediatric dental clinic seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dependable Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team of dental professionals dedicated to providing outstanding oral healthcare to children in our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain strict infection control and sterilization standards for instruments and operatories

• Prepare, organize, and maintain instrument trays and clinical areas

• Provide age-appropriate oral hygiene education to patients and parents

• Review post-treatment care instructions with patients and families

• Maintain accurate and complete dental records

• Monitor, organize, and maintain clinical supplies

• Take and process dental radiographs

• Perform coronal polishing

• Place pit and fissure sealants and silver diamine fluoride (SDF)

• Assist the dentist with restorative procedures and oral surgery

• Assist with general anesthesia procedures

• Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care to pediatric patients

• Work collaboratively with doctors and the entire clinical team to maintain efficient patient flow

Qualifications

• EFDA certification preferred

• Pit and fissure sealant certification

• Current CPR certification

• Radiology certification preferred

• CDA certification preferred

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Strong chairside manner

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Compassionate and patient approach when working with children

• Dependable, organized, and motivated

• Passion for providing excellent pediatric dental care
