Head of Content, Founders School - $400,000/year USD

This is not a media brand you will inherit. You will create it from the ground up. As the founding Head of Media at Founders School, you will transform the everyday experiences of ambitious teenagers launching actual companies into content that reaches millions and motivates the next wave of young entrepreneurs.

Founders School is a New York-based elite high school where students go beyond studying business — they launch real companies. Your role is to convert that reality into media: the milestones achieved by student founders, the live events held at the school, and the tangible results packaged into credible, platform-optimized content that compels ambitious teens and their parents to pause and engage.

You will be responsible for the complete cycle: identify the narrative, develop the angle, create the content package, distribute it strategically, and refine the approach until it generates genuine admissions interest. What You Will Be Doing

• Create and distribute multi-platform narrative packages drawn from authentic student-founder achievements, validated progress indicators, and school experiences that generate reach and drive admissions interest
• Convert workshops, mentor sessions, founder presentations, and student experiences into content that educates on entrepreneurship while reinforcing confidence in the Founders School approach.
• Identify and extract the most credible and shareable moments from live Founders School events, workshops, and speaker programs and structure them into thought-leadership content for teens, parents, and guest speakers
• Guide students in building their own audiences and communicating their journeys, developing them into genuine content creators and sustainable content sources
• Manage full-cycle content execution across platforms: narrative identification, hook formulation, production, distribution, and iterative performance optimization
• Analyze engagement metrics weekly and systematically refine content angles, formats, and distribution tactics based on measurable performance
• Integrate AI tools throughout the workflow—research, scripting, editing, repurposing, and analytics—to sustain high-volume, high-quality content production

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Producing institutional messaging, managing enrollment marketing campaigns, or creating polished brand materials that generate no external sharing
• Taking over an existing content calendar or implementing a media strategy designed by others — you are constructing the framework based on your own strategic conviction
• Chasing follower counts, posting frequency targets, or vanity metrics that lack connection to admissions demand and brand credibility
• Executing isolated promotional campaigns or live event streams without a structured post-production distribution strategy
• Handling event logistics or school operational tasks; your mandate is the narrative, not the event coordination

Head Of Content Key Responsibilities

This role is accountable for Founders School's complete external media presence and is responsible for creating a proof-driven content engine that positions Founders School as a nationally recognized entrepreneurial high school brand and generates 5,000 qualified inbound admissions inquiries within the first 12 months of launch.

Basic Requirements

• Proven track record of driving audience growth through organic content, evidenced by a portfolio demonstrating proof-based storytelling and measurable outcomes in reach, engagement, or demand generation.
• Proven ability to identify compelling narrative angles from raw interviews, footage, and milestone data and structure them into platform-native formats across at least two channels
• Active use of AI-enabled content workflows: ability to articulate specific tools employed at each stage of research, scripting, editing, repurposing, and analytics
• Proven ability to mentor creators, founders, students, or subject matter experts in producing compelling content and growing audiences.
• Sincere conviction that teenagers can build real companies and that entrepreneurship serves as a positive force
• Willingness to work full-time, in-person in New York, NY
• Legal right to work in the US

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
