Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Summary:
Provide specialized neonatal intensive care to infants in a Level 2 NICU setting, demonstrating advanced skills in ventilator management, CPAP, and UVC procedures. Ensure the safety and well-being of neonatal patients through expert bedside care and adherence to hospital policies.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced neonatal care, including CPAP and UVC placement, to infants up to 30 days old.
• Perform procedures such as surfactant administration and chest tube placement when needed.
• Monitor vital signs and respiratory status, adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Document patient care accurately within the CPN system and maintain compliance with unit protocols.
• Collaborate with NICU and mother-baby teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and care continuity.
• Support unit staff during delivery and transition of newborns, maintaining high standards of neonatal care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active and valid nursing license.
• Possess minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospital NICU setting.
• Certifications required: NRP, STABLE, CPR.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ventilator management, Hi Flow oxygen, and IV placement.
• Ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative team environment.
• Willing to train in mother-baby care if needed.
