Function as an available point of contact with clients on air quality projects and ensure a high level of client service. Prepare and review technical reports, permit applications, and compliance reports. Perform and review emissions calculations, sampling results, and regulatory analyses. Communicate with clients and regulatory agencies to coordinate regulatory approvals. Offer technical guidance and training to staff. Prepare technical proposals and work plans defining scope of services, schedules and professional fees. Develop and present project and technical presentations to clients, technical organizations, and in‑house staff. Assist Division Director in developing business strategies and action plans for creating growth opportunities. What You Bring to The Team Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering, or related degree, from a 4‑year accredited college or university. 10+ years of demonstrated experience in area(s) of environmental permitting and compliance including, but not limited to: NPDES permitting, stormwater management, Clean Air Act permitting and compliance, State and federal regulatory compliance, Joint Permit Applications, waste handling, and/or environmental due diligence. Ability to organize technical material into comprehensive reports as well as perform QA/QC reviews on work products prepared by junior staff. Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring and training junior staff. Must have demonstrated collaborative approach to problem‑solving and have strong people skills for contact with clients and fellow engineers/technicians. Accuracy, dependability, and strong organizational skills. Exceptional time management skills: ability to manage multiple assignments at any given time. May be required to perform job duties in the field and office, during non‑standard hours, as necessary; must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to and conduct field work at job sites/offices in Michigan. Familiarity with Michigan regulations related to air and water resources. Ability to travel for periodic site/client visits, project, and business development meetings.
