Maintenance Technician II - 1st Shift

Maintenance Technician IIFollowing established process and procedures, the Maintenance Technician II performs emergency, routine and preventive maintenance on all production and building equipment while maintaining safety and communicating effectively. This position is responsible for daily problem solving and repair of robotic, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical or small outdoor power equipment associated with manufacturing and facility operations.Responsibilities:Support and service of production lines within the facilityMechanical, electrical and PLC troubleshooting and repairPerform preventative and predictive maintenance of production line equipmentSeasonal external facility maintenanceSmall engine repairReading and interpreting blue prints, drawings and building schematicsMiscellaneous facility maintenance as neededReplacement of broken or outdated building mechanicals, lighting or bathroom fixturesEmail and phone conversations with vendorsOrdering parts and materialsMaintenance of 5S programMaintaining compliance with training programsMaintenance and system entry of PM's and work ordersMinimum Job Requirements:High School Diploma or GED2+ years of experience maintaining industrial equipment, automation or product repairPreferred Job Requirements:Experience reading and working from blueprints and interpreting advanced drawings and schematicsDemonstrated knowledge in OSHA, Arc Flash, LOTO and NECKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to effectively communicate across departmentsAbility to identify problems and implement solutionsAbility to work from drawings, sketches and blueprintsInitiative to learn how to assist, diagnose and repair equipmentAbility to acquire and maintain certifications for operation of service equipmentKnowledge of basic PC functions including using Outlook, Excel and WordPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
