About the Position

Perioperative Nurse Manager # of beds 35 in total over 5 units Required Certifications BLS ACLS PALS Common diagnoses/Types of patients Units under the manager's purview include: Pre-Assessment Testing (PAT), Ambulatory Observation Unit (AOU/Preoperative), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU/Phase I recovery), Procedure Care Unit (PCU/Phase II recovery, Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, and GI recovery), and Endoscopy. These departments collectively serve both inpatient and outpatient populations. Specific Job Duties Related to this role? "Key responsibilities include managing staff schedules and timecards, responding to incident reports, coordinating new supply procurement (based on physician requests, as needed), conducting patient service recovery efforts, and escalating real-time staff issues when necessary.
