EHR Training Specialist – Operations Columbia Community Mental Health is a nonprofit agency and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic that provides services to individuals with mental, addiction and developmental disabilities. Location: St. Helens, OR, US Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Salary: $64,147.20 – $81,078.40 annually Benefits CCMH provides a generous comprehensive benefits program to employees and family members, including qualified domestic partners. These resources will be specifically tailored to the unique needs and workflows of different departments and job roles. Hands‑On Training Sessions: Conduct dynamic training sessions for new hires, existing staff, and departmental teams. Cover essential functionalities of OCHIN Epic, such as patient charting, scheduling, billing, and reporting. Collaboration and Needs Assessment: Collaborate closely with departmental managers and subject matter experts. Identify training needs, prioritize initiatives, and align them with organizational goals and objectives. Ongoing Support and Guidance: Provide continuous support to staff members. Address their questions, troubleshoot issues, and reinforce best practices in EHR system utilization. Effectiveness Evaluation: Regularly assess the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback sessions. Use insights to recommend improvements and optimize training content. Stay Current: Keep abreast of new features, updates, and advancements in OCHIN Epic. Integrate relevant information into training materials and sessions to ensure staff proficiency. Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between CCMH and OCHIN Epic support resources. Coordinate additional training opportunities and resolve escalated issues promptly. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities This position supervises no other positions in the Agency and is directly supervised by the Business Information Supervisor. All programs/staff are ultimately responsible to the agency Executive Director. Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in a Healthcare Administration or Information Technology related field or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 3 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing training solutions for clinical and/or business applications is required. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365 required. Experience in a health‑care related environment involving the provision of Electronic Health Record (EHR) training preferred. Certification in Adult Learning or as an Epic Trainer preferred. Combination of education/experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered. Qualifications & Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required: Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows Operating Systems. Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR). Demonstrated experience with developing and implementing adult training materials. Demonstrate organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize projects and to work independently as well as in a team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management and staff required. This position requires within 6 months of hire successful completion of the OCHIN Epic module trainings in all areas you will be training on. Language Skills Ability to read and communicate in English language, and understand documents, instructions, and procedure manuals, as needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job. Must have ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, finance reports, and legal documents. Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Reasoning Ability Ability to define and solve practical problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to understand personal boundaries and how this impacts treatment. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Candidates must be legally employable by a U.S. business. Work Environment This job operates in a medical/office environment.
