Production Worker

Position Summary

• Read and Comprehend: Able to read customized orders and interpret stated information. Able to read SOPs, policies, procedures, and all related quality and safety information.
• Document: Gathers and accurately records data on a customized order packet and production tracking system.
• Coordinate: Able to sequence and prioritize tasks with a partner to accomplish production goals.
• Communicate: Able to communicate clearly while working in a team with systems partner and systems supervisor to proactively avoid delays in the process.
• Decision Making: Makes informed decisions and knows when to ask for help.
• Interpersonal Skills/Behaviors: Deals with individuals in a tactful manner.

Responsibilities

• Sets Up System: Assembles a custom system station using machine units, based on a customized order.
• Operates and Monitors: Inputs product into a system station in containers such as bags, boxes, drums, and super sacs. Monitors operations for quality and standards. Fills and packages products in containers such as bags, boxes, drums, or super sacs. Off-loads product containers onto a pallet for transport.
• Cleans Machinery: Uses a dry clean process and/or a wet wash process to thoroughly clean systems and system units according to standards and process requirements.
• Works 12 hour shifts 6pm-6:30am on the 2/2/3 Schedule.
• Can expect to work Saturdays on a weekly basis.
• Arrives on time and prepared.
• Promptly punches in and out.
• Wears a required uniform.
• Participates in exercise regime before shift start.
• Displays proper hygiene habits (clean hands, body, hair, clothing, etc.).
• Willingness to always wear the required safety gear (hair net, beard cover, ear plugs, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety mask).
• Manages PacMoore property such as a knife, ink supplies, etc. safely and with care to avoid unnecessary destruction and contamination.
• Washes hands after breaks and lunch.
• Follows Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Observes policy and procedure manual guidelines and the employee handbook.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and warehouse best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to work independently.
• Leadership Experience a Plus.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Work Environment

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, and move around for extended periods.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Physical Strength: Exerts up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Movement: Occasional climbing, stooping (bending body forward and down), crouching (bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine), reaching (extending arms and hands in any direction), and handling (seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands).
