Data Analyst For Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials UnitGeorgetown University comprises two unique campuses in the nation's capital. Our community is a close-knit group of remarkable individuals driven by intellectual inquiry, a commitment to social justice, and a shared dedication to making a difference in the world.The Data Analyst for Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Unit will work with and assist the Clinical Research Coordinator, Regulatory Specialist, and Clinical Trial Manager by entering data into clinical trial sponsor system, as well as internal software.The Data Analyst will work with and assist the Clinical Research Coordinator, Regulatory Specialist, and Clinical Trial Manager by interacting with the clinical trial sponsor and also their propriety software for data entry. The Data Analyst may interact with clinical trial subjects to plan visits to the clinical trial, as well as schedule the subjects in Google Calendar. The Data Analyst will work with the Clinical Trial Coordinator and also Financial Administrator to ensure data between Georgetown GMS and clinical trial sponsor match. The Data Analyst will escalate necessary issues, such as data discrepancies, when discovered to the Clinical Trial Manager.Additional duties include, but are not limited to:Develops an understanding of research processesDocuments business requirements of research processesPartners with clinical staff to help with the data requirements of research functionsCreates and documents instructions for complex tasks so that others may use as a guideline in the futureTests applications to confirm intended functionality, as well as identify gapsAssists with the creation of user training materialsDocuments technical processes, as neededVerifies that recommended solutions align with research requirementsDevelops understanding of software development lifecycle methodologiesEffectively communicates with customers, internal resources and support teams to ensure objectives are metCollaborates with clinical and research resources to identify and develop process improvementsAssists with the testing and implementation of new system functionalityParticipates in cross functional teams to gather clinical and research needs in order to identify effective solutionsPerforms other projects and duties as assigned by the Clinical Research ManagerRequirements and Qualifications:Seeking a candidate with 3 years of experience working with clinical trials and supporting a clinical trial research staff, or a similar health care settingFamiliarity with Microsoft Word and Excel; Google Gmail, Calendar, and Drive requiredExperience with Workday a plusMust possess the ability to communicate effectively and have the capacity to interact with a diverse communityMust pay close attention to detail, work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and use independent judgement and discretion in determining the best course of action.Ability to work with large data setsStrong knowledge and familiarity of Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to create and document procedures for training materialsExcellent problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skillsGeneral knowledge of clinical researchThis position has been designated as On-Campus.The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:$26.26 - $48.32Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.GU is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
