Supervisor, Merchandisers - Sacramento Area

Off-Premise Wine and Spirits MerchandiserLeads, trains, and supports the activities and operations of the Off-Premise Wine and Spirits Merchandisers to drive volume and profit growth in accounts and provide support to Sales Consultants and District Managers across Fresno, San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Roseville, Vacaville, Sacramento and Elk Grove.Job Responsibilities:Coordination of daily workload and bookings (align with Router). Communicate with Sales Manager and District Managers on daily bookings, staffing shortfalls, special projects, additional needs, etc.Meet with key customers for review purposes. Prepare and present Merchandiser standards and value to key customers.Develop and maintain consistent merchandising standards. Conduct field sets for merchandising team training. Manage/maintain information for Merchandiser Comp Pool, Merchandiser GSM, incentives, etc.POS (large) delivery and set up for thematic displays and key account planner activity.Lead the activities and operations of merchandisers.Training (new Merchandisers and on-going development of existing Merchandisers).Conduct weekly work-withs (ride-along) with Merchandising staff.Actively recruit for merchandising workforce.Administer duties to include, but not limited to, verify weekly time cards, review, confirm, and approve team time off, conduct Merchandising team meetings, attend Division Sales meetings, conduct employee evaluations/reviews.Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experienceMinimum of 5 years' experience in merchandising and Off-Premise sales support roleProficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation softwareMust be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skillsAbility to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlinesAnalytic and Reporting skillsUtilize sound judgement and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environmentPreferred Qualifications:Prior supervisory experiencePhysical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephoneCompetencies:May help coordinate the work of junior members of the team.Resolves issues which are often varied and non-routine. Undertakes analysis and investigation to solve issues.Salary and Benefit Statement:Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills, and prior relevant experience.
