Key Responsibilities : this is not meant to be a comprehensive list Handle a docket of personal injury litigation files Draft and respond to discovery and motions Take and defend depositions—-and prepping clients for their depositions Attend hearings, mediations, and trials as needed Negotiate settlements and maintain communication with opposing counsel Work closely with litigation support staff to maintain momentum on each case Track deadlines, maintain case files and ensure timely progression of each matter Collaborate with attorney team on strategy and keep updated on outcomes Conduct legal research Stay up to date on legal developments, court rules and legislative or policy changes that affect the personal injury legal field Qualifications : Juris Doctor Degree (J.D) form an accredited law school Licensed to practice law in Texas 1-10 years of law experience, personal injury experience a plus Ability to manage a case load and meet deadlines Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective case strategies #J-18808-Ljbffr
