We are currently seeking a Nurse Extern to join our team. As our Nurse Extern, you will perform a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN) in a complementary and assistive role.

Your tasks and responsibilities may include obtaining and recording initial and ongoing patient information throughout the cycle of care, documenting observations, interactions, patient responses to performed activities, and any physical or behavioral changes at time of occurrence, obtaining or assisting in the collection of specimens for diagnostic or waived tests, ensuring accuracy of all labels and timely transfer of specimen, providing or assisting with non-medicated support care, and assisting with patient preparation for surgery or other procedure.

Qualifications include being currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing, having completed 1+ years of nursing school preferred, having a Fundamentals of Nursing Course at an accredited school, lifting 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs, and obtaining current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association on all clinical nursing units.
