S.A.M Singapore Math of Jersey City is launching a new math enrichment center in Downtown Jersey City focused on helping children develop strong mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence. S.A.M (Seriously Addictive Mathematics) is the world's largest Singapore Math enrichment program, with more than 200 centers across 20+ countries. Our curriculum is modeled on Singapore Math pedagogy and goes beyond memorization and repetitive practice to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of mathematics. We are looking for an energetic, highly organized, and entrepreneurial Founding Center Director to lead our Jersey City center from launch and take ownership of its operations, family experience, team, and growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional or Assistant Center Director ready to step into a leadership role and help build a center from the ground up. What You'll Do Meet with prospective families and introduce them to the S.A.M. educational approach and programs Conduct or coordinate student assessments and parent consultations Follow up with prospective families, clearly communicate the value of the program, and support enrollment decisions Build strong, trusted relationships with parents and regularly discuss student progress Drive student enrollment and retention while creating an exceptional family experience Center Operations Manage the day-to-day operations of S.A.M Singapore Math of Jersey City Coordinate student and instructor schedules Maintain a welcoming, professional, organized, and safe learning environment Ensure the S.A.M. curriculum and teaching methodology are delivered consistently and effectively Track enrollment, attendance, retention, and other key center metrics Ensure smooth and efficient center operations Recruit, train, schedule, and manage instructors Coach and support instructors to maintain high teaching standards Create a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture Proactively resolve staffing and scheduling issues Ensure instructors deliver an engaging and high-quality experience for every student Center Growth Take ownership of enrollment growth and student retention Organize open houses, student assessments, community events, and local outreach Develop relationships with local schools, parents, and community organizations Work closely with the owner to establish S.A.M Singapore Math of Jersey City as a leading math enrichment program in the community Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is personable, entrepreneurial, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of a growing education business. You should genuinely enjoy interacting with children and have a warm, friendly, and engaging personality that allows you to connect naturally with students and parents , while also being comfortable with the business side of running and growing an education center. Qualifications Experience in education, tutoring, enrichment, after-school programs, or a related field Prior leadership or management experience Demonstrated ability to connect and build rapport with children Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with parents Ability to manage, coach, and motivate a team Strong organizational and follow-through skills Comfortable discussing programs, pricing, and enrollment with prospective families Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and families Bachelor's degree preferred Experience as an Assistant Center Director, Center Director, Education Program Manager, Assistant Director, Lead Instructor, or similar role at a tutoring or enrichment organization is particularly relevant. Prior experience with Singapore Math is not required . Comprehensive training on the S.A.M. curriculum and Singapore Math methodology will be provided. Schedule This is a full-time, on-site position . The role requires availability during key after-school and weekend operating hours, along with flexible administrative hours for parent consultations, team management, community outreach, marketing, and center development. Compensation & Professional Development Performance-based bonus with target total cash compensation of $65,000–$70,000+ Additional upside for exceptional center growth and performance Comprehensive training in Singapore Math pedagogy and the S.A.M. curriculum, with the opportunity to become a certified S.A.M. and S.A.E. trainer Why Join S.A.M Singapore Math of Jersey City?
