divh2Financial Aid Officer/h2pThe Financial Aid Officer (FAO) advises prospective and current students regarding financial aid options, including the availability of Title IV Programs. In this process, the FAO ensures that the customer has access to all relevant information, guidelines, and eligibility requirements, and supports the customer in applying for available financial aid. The FAO, working within company processes, ensures that students are packaged on time and within compliance standards. The FAO will work directly with the Campus President to develop improvements to the overall quality and environment of the Financial Aid Department./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliAdvise incoming, continuing, and re-entry students on the availability of Title IV funds and resources to cover the investment in their educational cost./liliAnswer student questions regarding completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and Direct Loan Entrance/Exit Counseling/liliComplete verification on all applications selected by the Department of Education/liliResolve conflicting information that is identified between financial aid documents and other documents contained in the students file/liliConduct financial aid estimates for students who are interested in enrollment/liliTimely submission of student files for Campus Compliance Specialist review, maintaining a low error rate/liliEffectively communicate with admissions department personnel to ensure future enrollments have obtained appropriate documentation for packaging/liliEnsure files are uploaded into the CampusVue operating system/liliProvide updates to the Campus President on students who have not submitted documentation or required paperwork to receive Title IV funding/liliAdvise students, during the packaging process, of Institutional Payment Plans (IPP) and facility completion of the IPP process where appropriate./liliEffectively use and track activities in CampusVue/liliOther duties as assigned/li/ulh3Experience and Education Required/h3ulliHigh School Diploma (GED acceptable) from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education/lili1 year of experience in a customer service-related field/liliAbility to multitask while maintaining organization/liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills/liliDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality/liliMust not be in default on any federal student loan/li/ulh3Experience and Education Preferred/h3ulliAssociates degree or higher from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education/lili1 year of prior experience in Financial Aid/liliExperience with CampusVue/li/ulh3Physical Demands/h3pThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
