Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse is a registered nurse practicing at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing safe, patient-centered care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The nurse collaborates with the healthcare team to facilitate positive birth experiences and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Position Description: The L&D Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients in labor and delivery, using evidence-based practices to support patient and family-centered care.
• Required Qualifications: - Current California RN License, American Heart Association AHA Certification for Basic Life Support BLS, Advanced Care Life Support ACLS, American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation Program NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification via AWHONN. - BSN degree. - Minimum of three 3 years of recent L&D and antepartum experience. - Proficiency with clinical equipment, technology, and computer systems. - No minimum years of experience specified.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The nurse should be skilled in operating clinical equipment, guiding unlicensed assistive personnel, and participating in safety and quality improvement initiatives. High-risk antepartum experience is highly preferred.
