Assistant Men's Soccer Coach

Delaware County Community College, a two-year college located in Media, PA, is seeking a Men’s Assistant Soccer Coach to assist its Soccer program. Delaware County Community College is a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) in Region XIX of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). The Assistant Soccer Coach is a part-time, contracted position with the following responsibilities, including but not limited to: Essential Duties Assist in creating an atmosphere of and demonstrate a commitment to compliance with all applicableNJAAandRegion19conferenceandinstitutionalpolicies,rulesandregulations. Assisttheheadcoachinteachinganddemonstratingspecificsoccerskills. Recruit,train,andcoachstudent-athletesparticipatingontheSoccerteam andservesasa mentor and exercises leadership, especially to the soccer student-athletes and assistant coaches. Supportstudentathleteacademicsandathleticexcellence,leadershipdevelopment,team development and community service. Assist the head coach in providing oversight for all aspects of the program including team travel,practicescheduling,competitionscheduling,gamemanagement,fundraising, recruiting, and monitoring the academic progress of student athletes. Demonstrateacommitmenttothedepartment'sTitleIXandgenderequityplans. Engageineffectivecommunicationstosupportrelationshipswithstudentathletes,families, alumni, and friends. Adheretoandsupportthedepartmentanduniversitymission. Continuedcommitmenttoengageinprofessionaldevelopmentopportunities. Other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associatedegreefromanaccreditedcollegeoruniversity(bachelor’sdegreepreferred) 1-4 years of previous baseball coaching experience at high school, AAU or college level Previouscoachingexperienceattwo-yearorfour-yearcollegelevelpreferred KnowledgeofNJCAArulesandregulationsaplus Experienceasaformerathleteina baseballprogramathighschoolorcollegelevelaplus Must have a valid state issued drivers' license Background Clearances: Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background History, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance); Verification of educational credentials In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
