Position Summary: Genesis is seeking a dependable and flexible Retreat Center Cook to join our hospitality team. The cook will prepare and serve meals from a set menu of recipes, while also assisting with meal service, kitchen setup, and clean-up. The ideal candidate will bring a spirit of teamwork, reliability, and care to support the Center’s nourishing environment. Responsibilities: Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and supper according to established menus and recipes. Ensure quality, presentation, and portion consistency of all meals. Pay attention to and accommodate specific guest dietary needs and restrictions as communicated. Assist with meal service, including setting up, serving, and clearing dishes. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining area. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage guidelines. Collaborate with the hospitality team to support retreat and event meal schedules. Adapt to schedule needs, including weekends and occasional evenings. Qualifications: Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably in a hospitality or institutional setting. Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team. Flexible schedule with willingness to work at least every other weekend. Strong organizational and time management skills. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
