Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: - Labor management - Circulating a cesarean section Description: Unit Information: Labor & Delivery Unit Number of Beds: 18 Number of Staff: 54 Day Shift: 1 charge or CNC, 8-10 RNs, 1-2 OB techs, 1 HUC Night Shift: 1 Charge or CNC, 8-10 RNs, 1-2 OB techs Patient Ratios: 1:1 Pitocin, C-section delivery, Recovery, 2-3 Antepartum patients AWHONN guidelines are what we strive to follow Type of Equipment: GE fetal monitoring, EMR, CPN, meditech On Call Requirement: 1-2 shifts per schedule Floating Requirement: Yes, to mother-baby if needed/outside of women’s unit as a resource only Typical Hiring Profile: Most recruited for: Travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters Preferred Skills: Candidates with labor management and circulating cesarean sections will be prioritized Typical Procedures: Vaginal delivery, c-sections, triage, iron infusions Best Personality Fit: Candidates should be nice and passionate about their work.
