Sinai Residences seeks an Emergency Medical Responder – Sat and Sun 7:00 pm to 7:30 am

$750 Sign-On Bonus for all newly hired EMRs

• 50% paid after 90 days of employment
• Remaining 50% paid after 120 days of employment

$3.00 per hour Weekend Differential

• Applicable to employees working the weekend overnight shift (7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.)

We need you to join our team as an Emergency Medical Responder

Sinai Residences is seeking a service driven, professional EMR who is responsible for servicing this Community.

1. Emergency Response:

• Using a limited amount of equipment, the EMR will r ender emergency medical care based on assessment findings. Care may include:
  • Opening and maintaining an airway
  • Ventilating patients
  • Administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Administering oxygen
  • Providing emergency medical care of simple and multiple system trauma such as:
    • Controlling hemorrhage
    • Bandaging wounds
    • Manually stabilizing injured extremities
  • Addressing general medical complaints, altered mental status, seizures, environmental emergencies, behavioral emergencies and psychological crises.
• Prior to rendering patient care, identify the mechanism of injury or nature of illness, the total number of patients and requests additional help, if necessary.
• Determine when additional support is needed and act accordingly. This includes:
• Conduct post-call activities.
• Function within the scope of care as defined by state, regional and local regulatory agencies;
• Comply with regulations on the handling of the deceased, protection of property and evidence at the scene, while awaiting additional EMS resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Driver's License
2. Must hold an active EMT/EMR or Paramedic certification
3. Ability to function in uncommon situations while remaining calm;
4. Able to apply basic knowledge of stress response and methods to ensure personal well‐being;
5. Ability to apply principles of body substance isolation;
6. Ability to apply basic medical‐legal principles as they pertain the to the EMR role;
7. Excellent customer service skills
8. Ability to work well with many people and adapt to diverse situations
9. Ability to maintain a professional work environment
10. Minimum of 6 months experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS :

Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, and squatting; must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, squat, and stand.
