GENERAL ENGINEER

Duties

You will manage professional engineering and scientific work where the incumbent has knowledge and skills in two or more professional engineering series for which no single discipline is paramount or when a discipline is not covered.

You will be responsible for acquisition development, fielding, and sustainment of the program, this includes incorporating standardization, commonality, configuration management, risk management, design for logistics support etc.

You will be directing, managing, chairing, advising and reporting on engineering studies, projects, and experiments.

You will serve as a recognized expert and consultant to ensure reliability and accuracy in the identification, development and implementation of recommended solutions to highly complex problems.

You will provide authoritative technical, scientific, and/or professional advice to senior level leadership concerning unusual or critical problems that often affect the work of internal and external stakeholders.

You will coordinate system of systems engineering, applying lessons learned to maximize programmatic alignment and efficiencies across the technical domain.
