Job Overview - Physical Therapist (PT)
Compensation: $65 - $80/hour
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Full-Time, Part-Time, or Per Diem (School Schedule)

TAG MedStaffing is urgently hiring a Physical Therapist (PT) in New York, NY for our client, supporting physical therapy services within DOE-aligned school settings for the upcoming school year. This role offers flexible school placements, working with students to improve mobility, gross motor function, and classroom access. You will deliver therapy aligned with IEP goals while following the academic calendar and maintaining accurate documentation. New graduates are welcome to apply with an active permanent Physical Therapy license, with no minimum years of experience required!

Responsibilities as the Physical Therapist (PT):

• Therapy Delivery: Provide physical therapy services to students in individual and group settings aligned with IEP requirements.
• Mobility Support: Support student mobility, gross motor development, and safe participation in school activities.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate daily session notes and progress documentation using electronic systems.
• IEP Participation: Prepare progress reports and participate in IEP meetings with school staff and stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Partner with teachers, staff, and families to support student development and classroom access.

Qualifications for the Physical Therapist (PT):

• Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree is required.
• Licensure: Active New York State Physical Therapy license is required.
• Certification: An active NPI number is required.
• Experience: Prior experience in school-based or clinical physical therapy is preferred, with new graduates considered.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of IEP processes and school-based therapy practices is required.
• Technical Skills: Experience with electronic documentation systems and standard office tools is preferred.
• Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong communication, organization, and the ability to support students in a structured environment.
