Manager / Sr. Manager, Safety & Quality Compliance

About the Role

Danella is creating a new, dedicated role within Risk Management to centralize and elevate our safety and quality compliance efforts. Safety and quality compliance are already a part of how we operate every day across our divisions and job sites — this role brings that work under a single point of accountability, standardizing our processes and strengthening consistency across the organization. We're looking for someone who is solution-focused and process-oriented: someone who can take practices that exist today and organize them into a more formalized, consistent program.

What You'll Do

• Centralize and formalize Danella's safety and quality compliance efforts into a single, dedicated function — standardizing processes and documentation across teams and locations.
• Design and lead audits of internal operations and subcontractors, flagging compliance gaps and following through on corrective action.
• Develop metrics, dashboards, and reports that give leadership clear, ongoing visibility into safety and quality performance.
• Collaborate with the Director of Safety & Development on training that targets identified compliance gaps among project teams and crews.
• Write and maintain policies and procedures that translate regulatory requirements and best practices into a documented set of compliance obligations for field and office teams, then track adherence to those standards and revise them as regulations and customer requirements evolve.
• Act as the compliance point of contact for customers and utility partners, representing Danella's safety and quality practices during bids, audits, and account management.
• Work closely with Risk Management leadership to keep compliance efforts aligned with broader risk management priorities.
• Travel regularly to job sites and divisional office locations to observe conditions firsthand and build trust with local teams to make audits candid and effective — partnering with them on corrective measures rather than handing down findings.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in safety and/or quality compliance, ideally both. Industry background is flexible; utility construction, general construction/contracting, or another industry with transferable safety/quality discipline are all welcome.
• A track record of centralizing, standardizing, or significantly elevating a process, program, or function — taking work that exists in a decentralized or informal way and organizing it into a consistent program.
• Comfort auditing operations and subcontractor performance and turning findings into practical corrective action — not just a compliance checklist.
• Ability to translate data into a clear story for leadership: metrics, dashboards, and trend analysis that drive decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communicator, comfortable representing the company to customers and utility partners on compliance matters.
• A genuinely solution-focused mindset — someone who'd rather fix a problem and build structure around it than just identify the issue.
• Manager to Sr. Manager-level experience; we're flexible on exact level based on the strength of the candidate's safety/quality background.
