Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Prep Cook / Dishwasher to join our Dining Services team. This position is responsible for assisting with food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, and supporting daily kitchen operations to ensure an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and works well as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Assist with food preparation and meal service according to menus and standardized recipes Prepare ingredients including vegetables, soups, sauces, meats, and other menu items Ensure special dietary needs and food modifications are prepared correctly Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment thoroughly and efficiently Operate dishwashing equipment safely and ensure proper sanitizing temperatures are maintained Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and dining areas Sweep, mop, sanitize workstations, and remove trash regularly Receive, rotate, and properly store food and kitchen supplies Keep kitchen floors and work areas clean and free of hazards at all times Assist cooks and dining staff during meal service as needed Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations Attend required trainings, meetings, and in-services Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership Qualifications & Experience High School Diploma or GED preferred Previous prep cook, dishwasher, kitchen, or food service experience preferred SNF/ALF experience is a plus Food handler certification may be required based on local regulations Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and carrying Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed Ability to perform repetitive kitchen and cleaning tasks Core Skills & Attributes Strong work ethic and reliability Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy kitchen environment Professional and respectful demeanor with residents, families, and staff Additional Responsibilities Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment Support kitchen operations and dining service standards Participate in staff trainings and meetings Follow all company policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned How to Apply If you’re passionate about food service and want to make a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors, we’d love to hear from you.
