Interior Designer Associate Full Time Professional Montgomery, AL, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 763264 Essential Functions and Responsibilities Attends client planning meetings; presents plans and information to customer for review and approvals. Schedules and assigns tasks to other internal teams in a clear manner, processes scopes of work or contracts in coordination with sales, and reports on project statuses and budgets. Conducts field measurements. Inventories existing product and produces as built drawings/specifications. Develops and presents block and space plans and gains customer approvals. Develops construction documents and specifications on finishes and furniture. Reviews design and content changes to ensure they meet GMC standards. Maintains document control, contract scope review and records of the project for both current and future use. Oversees installation of the design elements and furniture. Assists with punch list review with project managers. Assists in the writing and presentation of design proposals and contracts. Maintains detailed and extensive project documentation, including records of all key decisions, phone conversations, approvals and signoffs, and notes from all project planning meetings. Manages adherence to project schedule, project budget, design task completions and quality of design work. Communicates effectively with internal and external clients. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of interior design experience Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university in Interior Design Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection and installations Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite or other design programs Knowledge of industry best practices, ADA Codes, building materials and construction details Strong communication and writing skills. Sharp eye for quality assurance and an attention to detail. Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
