Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a qualified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in acute hospital settings and a strong ability to adapt to various clinical situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the Medical Surgical unit.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assume responsibility for patient safety and comfort while delivering quality healthcare.
• Float within scope of practice as needed, based on unit leader discretion.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Nursing License.
• A minimum of 2 years acute hospital nursing experience.
• Previous travel nursing experience is required.
• BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Epic electronic health record experience is required.

Schedule

Nights - 3 shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30). Staffing ratios are approximately 1:5 or 1:6.

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing to receive the flu vaccine before the flu season starting on December 5.
• Medical or religious exemptions for the flu vaccine must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the start date for approval.

Please note that candidates residing within a 50-mile radius from specified counties are not eligible for this position. Candidates should be prepared to float and adapt to different responsibilities as directed by management based on their skill set.
