Overview
Physical Therapy Assistant opportunity in Kennebunk, Maine, United States. Travel - Temporary Assignment, starting 08/24/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours of 35 per week with a 5x8 Days shift. Weekly pay range $1,384–$1,462. Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility. Employer: Healthforce Healthcare LLC. This assignment requires a licensed PTA to provide care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist in a skilled nursing environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide PTA services under the direction of a licensed physical therapist, implementing and monitoring prescribed treatment plans.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, gait and balance activities, functional mobility training, and ADL (activities of daily living) practice to support patient goals.
- Assist with patient transportation, transfers, and safety precautions during treatment sessions; ensure proper body mechanics and use of equipment.
- Document patient progress, test results, and response to interventions; communicate changes to the supervising PT and care team.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety considerations, and strategies to optimize recovery and function.
- Maintain clean, organized treatment areas and adhere to infection control and privacy protocols.

Requirements
- Active Maine Physical Therapy Assistant license
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program (associate degree)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to work in a skilled nursing setting and participate in a travel assignment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable and professional clinical judgment
- Eligible to work in the United States
