Power BI Developer
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: 12 months, Onsite
Primary Job Duties/Tasks:
- Analyze data environments and structures to prepare for dashboard development.
- Collaborate with management to create a reporting roadmap.
- Improve existing reports based on business needs.
- Automate data transformation processes.
- Convert WebFOCUS and Mainframe FOCUS queries to T-SQL.
- Create database views and stored procedures for Power BI reports.
- Develop dataflows in Power BI.
- Enhance financial data models.
- Administer Power BI dedicated workspace.
- Train staff on Power BI report usage.
Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI dashboard and report development.
- Proficient in SQL and data governance best practices.
- Understanding of data management concepts like Data Warehousing and Data Lakes.
- Familiarity with advanced data structures such as OLAP cubes.
- Knowledge of Power BI integration with other Microsoft tools.
- Experience with IBM DB2 databases and Mainframe flat files.
- Understanding of the SCRUM Framework.
Preferred KSAs:
- Experience with Oracle Datawarehouse.
- Knowledge of mainframe programming languages and financial systems like ERP.
- Experience with WebFOCUS.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in Business Intelligence with at least 2 years in Microsoft Power BI.
- Experience with IBM DB2 databases.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in technology or finance-related field. Equivalent work experience accepted.
