Lockbox Processor

Location: East Petersburg, PA (Onsite)

Duration: 5-Month Contract with Potential for Extension

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week

Pay Rate: $17.25 - $19.00/hr

Position Overview

The Lockbox Processor is responsible for processing incoming payments and deposits in accordance with established banking procedures and customer specifications. This role involves document review and interpretation, payment processing, data entry, transaction balancing, and reconciliation activities. The position requires handling sensitive financial information and maintaining strict adherence to security, compliance, and confidentiality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Open, sort, and process incoming mail and payment documents.
• Review checks and payment documents for accuracy, completeness, signatures, dates, and required information.
• Enter account numbers, payment amounts, and other transaction details into banking systems with a high degree of accuracy.
• Process incoming payments and deposits according to customer and bank specifications.
• Balance and reconcile transactions to ensure accurate posting.
• Communicate account and transaction information to internal departments and customers when necessary.
• Maintain compliance with banking regulations, company policies, and security procedures.
• Handle sensitive and confidential customer information in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Support all operational tasks related to the lockbox processing function.
• Meet daily productivity and accuracy standards in a fast-paced processing environment.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of strong data entry experience.
• Ability to accurately review checks and payment documents.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable performing repetitive, detail-oriented tasks.
• Ability to handle and process confidential information.
• Reliable, professional, and dependable attendance record.
• Ability to pass a credit check and background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous lockbox processing experience within a banking environment.
• Experience working with payment processing, banking operations, or financial transactions.
