Job Number: 179122, Job Title: Nurse Clinician II ACS - ACS Administration Float Pool, Salary: $40.21 - $50.53 Job Summary The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) has knowledge and skills necessary to meet standards for professional practice specified in the Texas Nursing Practice Act and by HCHD Nursing Service. The practice patterns of competent generalists are characterized by the application of standards, principles, and algorithms to clinical situations. The NCII independently and safely manages patients with problems common to patients in the assigned clinical area; recognizes when help is needed and seeks appropriate resources. Minimum Qualifications Education / Licensure / Specialized Training: Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred Licensure / Certification: Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas; Basic Life Support from an AHA‑approved program; other certificates as required by unit or service Work Experience: One (1) year full‑time RN experience Management Experience: N/A Special Requirements Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact) Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking) Writing / Composing (Correspondence/Reports) Bilingual Skills Preferred / Preferred Languages: any Special Language Skills: Must accurately interpret and transmit clinical information in English, both verbally and in written form, and send and receive messages that patients, families, and significant others can comprehend Other Skills: Mathematics, Medical Terms, P.C.
