Record Center Specialist 1

Job Position

This position involves physically demanding tasks such as kneeling, squatting, reaching, and bending forward frequently throughout the shift. The primary responsibilities include moving, arranging, lifting, and loading storage boxes, bins, and totes, which range in weight from 24 lbs to over 100 lbs. Employees will move boxes manually and with the use of hand carts.

Responsibilities

Process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.

Lift, carry, and arrange boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.

Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks safely on uneven and concrete surfaces.

Walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.

Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes, including up and down inclines and stairs.

Read labels and process incoming and outgoing orders.

Use the proprietary computer system to track orders and determine box locations.

Operate handheld scanners and climb ladders safely.

Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.

Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually and with material handling aids.

Qualifications

Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs without assistance for prolonged periods.

Proficiency in reading and writing English.

Experience with loading, operating, and moving hand carts, pallet jacks, and various other material handling aids.

Protective footwear is required and must meet ASTM F2413-11 standards with a slip-resistant rating of "Better" or "Best".

Work Schedule

Normal work schedule is 5 days a week, 9 hours a day, including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
